The Letter To Hebrews
According to the Talmud, (Sukkah 52), Jewish rabbis once
believed that Psalm 2 teaches Messiah is the Son of God. If that's true, then
it's a remarkable Jewish belief not commonly held among many Jews today. For
people who desire a more comprehensive overview of Messiah than what we are
prepared to present in our meager little home-spun Sunday school; we strongly
recommend the books listed below available from Jews For Jesus

● Luke 24:25-27...He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
I sorely would have loved to have been there
and listened in on that lecture. Although quite a bit is written about Messiah's kingship
in the Tanakh, he still remains a bit of a mystery man in many respects. We feel that the
information regarding his sonship, and his priesthood, is best updated in the first ten
chapters of the book of Hebrews so we chose to go that route. No doubt there are others
more learned and better qualified to comment on the Hebrews
letter than we are. Our
expertise is admittedly very limited. What we have to share won't get anybody a Th.D.
but will suffice to at least give an entry-level working knowledge of some pretty heavy stuff
about the New Testament's Jesus.
